an unforgettable night surrounded by serene beauty with friendly japanese hospitality
After an incredible stay at 厳島いろは, I can honestly say that our room was one of the most beautiful we experienced in Japan, complete with tatami mat flooring and stunning bamboo accents. The on-site onsen view overlooking Hiroshima Bay while watching the sunset was absolutely breathtaking. The warmth and kindness of the staff, especially when they arranged for my yukata, left a lasting impression. The dinner was exquisitely prepared with fresh ingredients, and the delightful breakfast was a perfect start to the day. This experience is truly one you don’t want to miss!

The Neapolitan pizza at nearby Bambino is a must-try! We also feasted on a delightful kaiseki dinner with exceptional vegetarian options, perfectly tailored to our needs. Plus, the onsen overlooking Hiroshima Bay is pure bliss as the sun sets.
Self check-in felt a bit impersonal, and the entrance was blocked by snackers at times.

Waking up to that view of the bay and that floating Torii was somethin’ else, I tell ya. The onsen on the roof was a real treat, watchin' the sunset while relaxin’. The folks workin’ there were just so dang friendly, makin' ya feel right at home. Wish we coulda stayed longer!

The location couldn't be better, right near the promenade and with stunning views of the torii gate from my room. I loved the traditional ryokan experience, with tatami mats and a futon set up for me. The onsen offered a fantastic view of Hiroshima Bay, which was perfect for sunset watching. Dinner was a highlight, beautifully presented, and the staff took great care of me. Haruka at the front desk was incredibly helpful, even leaving a note for me when I inquired about a yukata. However, breakfast fell short as there weren't enough options, especially for a hotel in this price range. The limited dining hours in the area were also a bit inconvenient, as many places closed early. Still, it's difficult to find another ryokan that combines location, comfort, and character quite like this one.

It's conveniently located near local markets and just a short walk to the famous torii gate, making it easy to explore the area after hours.
Dining options were limited, as many places nearby closed early in the evening.

The Japanese-Style Room was beautifully designed with tatami mat flooring and elegant bamboo accents. Enjoying the view of the bustling streets was a highlight as it offered a glimpse into local life. The dinner was exceptional and allowed us to choose our preferences for each course, making it a memorable culinary experience.
